Business Development Manager
UK & Ireland
The selected candidate, reporting directly to the General Manager EU and working in close alignment with the VP of Sales (USA), will be responsible for managing sales operations and business development activities across the UK and Ireland. The role will focus on strengthening relationships with existing customers while identifying new opportunities for growth within the assigned territory. In particular, the role will focus on:
- Develop and implement the annual sales plan for the territory, including sales targets and strategic objectives, in coordination with company management.
- Grow sales with both existing and new customers, identifying opportunities to expand the customer base and increase product adoption.
- Manage customer inquiries and propose tailored solutions.
- Monitor sales performance, order entry levels and profit margins to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts and customer visit summaries, ensuring constant alignment with company headquarters.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including General Management, Customer Service, Project Management, Engineering and Quality Assurance, to support customer projects, resolve issues and align product specifications with market needs.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has 4 to 10 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within a technical manufacturing environment selling to OEM customers, and a strong orientation toward sales and business development. Experience in the medical device sector or related industries will be considered a strong advantage. He/she also has:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both executive stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- A technical background or prior experience in engineering, manufacturing, or R&D would be a strong plus.
- Experience working within multinational or international business environments.
- Native or fluent English (C1 minimum) required; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe and the US (approximately 40–45% of the time).
What we offer: permanent contract, with an indicative gross salary range between 75.000 and € 80.000, plus a bonus of 10% and reimbursement of business expenses (car, fuel and travel costs). Different levels of seniority will be considered, with the possibility of a higher position for profiles that are particularly well aligned with the company’s needs.
Location: Ireland – availability to travel across the UK, Europe and the US.
